Technology, publishing, marketing, consulting, education, and services — under a single philosophy.
We live in an age of transition. More science, more connection, more autonomy — and more noise.
Aastera is a response. A group of companies that share a single principle: the polymath, the curious mind, the person who moves between disciplines and thinks with method. To join Aastera is to join a way of thinking before joining a company.
Each of our businesses is a star with its own orbit. Together, they form a constellation.
Aastera brings together companies operating in distinct sectors — from technology to agribusiness, from education to services. We do not chase forced synergies between them. We pursue coherence: the way the work gets done.
We work with technical rigor, patience, and a long-term view. We are not in a hurry to grow. We are committed to lasting.
Aldeia Norte Editora was founded in September 1990, in Passo Fundo, Brazil, by Gilberto de Oliveira Borges — known to all as Gigi. It specialized in technical content for agribusiness and built, over three decades, one of the sector's most respected publications — Revista Plantio Direto.
After Gigi's passing in 2002, the publishing house continued under the direction of Juliane Borges, his wife, who had been at his side from the start. In 2016, João Manoel Borges, their son, joined the leadership.
The formation of Aastera, beginning in 2020, draws on the same principle that sustained the publishing house for three decades: do the work well, without haste, in sectors where there is something worth contributing.
